More Than a Scholarship. This Is a Village.

The Brilliant Black Girl Collective, a Fund of the Women’s Foundation of Alabama, is dedicated to investing in the educational futures of young women graduating from Birmingham City High Schools through various initiatives, including Birmingham scholarships for students, mentorship, and community support.


We believe that for a young girl to become strong, successful, and self-reliant, she must have access to essential resources, including education support for young women.


She must be able to leverage the power of social capital and be surrounded by a village that affirms who she is and who she is becoming.
